Nanotechnology firm Nanaco also announced this week that its chief executive Michael Edelman would be moving to run one leg of the company from Boston in the U.S.
The company will stay at its base in Manchester but also aims to grow its investor and customer base in the U.S.

Ms Francis will be responsible for Lovell’s business development strategy in the East of England.
North West law firm SAS Daniels LLP revealed three new partners alongside continued growth in 2013.
Bik-ki Irving, Nicola McInnes and Karen Barker were appointed as partners at three of its offices, which the law firm said reflected its expanding client base.
The University of Manchester also announced last week that a world-leading academic has been hired to further their research on graphene, the world’s thinnest and strongest conductive metal.
