Property consultant accolade for Rex Procter & Partners

Construction consultancy Rex Procter & Partners, which has offices in Leeds and Bradford, has been named Best Property Consultant at the Yorkshire Property Awards.

The longstanding Variety Club event, which took place at Rudding Park Hotel, is the most prestigious in the Yorkshire property industry calendar with more than 750 guests in attendance.

Event judges commended Rex Procter & Partners for being at the top end of its field saying it continues to be ‘the consultancy you go to for the answers you need’. The panel added that the company prides itself on getting it right.

Last year Rex Procter & Partners celebrated 75 years of business advising on varied projects throughout the UK.

Key company highlights in the past year include the launch of RPP Energy Services, offering Carbon Management advice to clients across the UK; and the opening of a second southern office based in Maidenhead.

Noteworthy projects in 2013 include the £22.5 million Vantec Europe logistics unit at Turbine Business Park, Sunderland; a 68,900 m2 Regional Distribution Centre in Somerset for Wm Morrison Supermarkets plc; and the award winning West Offices, City of York Council Headquarters.

Paul Mackie, chairman of Rex Procter & Partners, said: “We are delighted to achieve this award and of course welcome the judges immense comments.

“We strive to offer innovative solutions for every client and our most recent progressive projects range from Voltage Optimisation schemes to a Hydrogen Fuel Cell Bus Depot.

“This award recognises our diversification and experience and is a fantastic credit to all of our team and business partners.”

Rex Procter & Partners also swept the board at the RICS Pro Yorkshire Awards last month winning three categories for the City of York Council’s new headquarters and customer contact centre. It beat 40 other entrants for Best Project of the Year title.
