Eastern Airways enhances Leeds Bradford to Aberdeen service
Flights from Leeds Bradford Airport to Aberdeen have been increased by Eastern Airways with new improved timings also being introduced to the route.
The UK’s second largest regional airline has increased services from 22 to 26 a week with up to three flights operating in each direction on Mondays and Thursdays.
Morning flights from Leeds Bradford now conveniently depart at 7am arriving in Aberdeen at 8.10am, while morning flights leave Aberdeen at 8.40am landing at 9.50am at Leeds Bradford.
There is also now a teatime 5.35pm departure from Leeds Bradford and a later 7.15pm evening service from Aberdeen.
Humberside-based Eastern Airways has been operating the scheduled route from Leeds Bradford since 2003 to meet the needs of business travellers, including offshore workers and those in the finance, manufacturing and engineering industry sectors.
Tony Hallwood, Leeds Bradford Airport’s commercial and aviation development director, said: “We are delighted that the improved schedule offers convenient business friendly flights for commuters between Leeds Bradford and Aberdeen.
“We hope this will help enhance the existing strong trade links that have grown between West Yorkshire’s engineering and manufacturing sectors and Aberdeen which is commonly regarded as the Energy Capital of Europe.”
A dedicated fast track security channel is offered at both Leeds Bradford and Aberdeen airports for all Eastern Airways passengers to avoid any queues at security search, which also enables the airline to close check-in just 30 minutes before the departure time.
