Newcastle gin emporium creates 40 new jobs
A gin emporium has opened its doors in central Newcastle creating 40 jobs and building area’s reputation as a thriving destination.
‘Pleased to Meet You’ has been opened in a Grade II listed building on High Bridge Street and stocks over 50 types of gin .
The building, formerly The Turks Head and The Lane Pub has been completely refurbished and is the latest venue for Ladhar Leisure who also operate Lady Grey’s and Redhouse in Newcastle.
‘Pleased to Meet You’ also serves a wide range of local and international craft beers, cocktails, spirits and hand-pulled cask ales paired with locally-sourced food.
John Ladhar, Director of Ladhar Leisure, said: “Pleased To Meet You is a unique venue in what has become a very vibrant area of Newcastle.
“We are delighted with the latest addition to our leisure portfolio and are confident it will prove very popular among the Grey Street clientele.”
The opening, has been supported by law firm Sintons. Partners Alok Loomba and Sarah Smith handled the real estate and licensing aspects of the venue respectively.
