Renown Supports Terrier Vehicle Delivery
The British Army has announced it has received delivery of the Terrier vehicle.
Built out of BAE Systems’ Scotswood Road facility in Newcastle, the 60 vehicles have been delivered, each equipped with components manufactured by Renown Engineering Ltd.
According to BAE Systems website, ‘Terrier is support engineer vehicle which can be used for early entry, combat support and post-conflict roles’.
Defence minister Philip Dunne commented: “The Terrier vehicle is a great example of the contribution that the British defence industry makes to our armed forces.”
Renown Engineering Ltd was involved in completing key components for the vehicle against a very strict schedule, receiving a letter of recognition from BAE Systems for its role in delivering the project successfully.
