Whitewater Training open new Blackpool centre

Construction training firm, Whitewaters Training, has opened a new centre in Blackpool and created up to 10 full and part-time jobs.

The new centre at Preese Hall Farm, Weeton, was the result of a £60,000 investment from the Essex division of Whitewaters Training and is now fully equipped with construction plant.

The company offers training courses in construction operations and safety, as well as NVQs for the Site Safety Plus scheme and the Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS).

John Waters, director at Whitewaters Training, said; “We’ve seen a steady increase in demand for our courses over the last 15 months, particularly from construction businesses in the North West.

“The industry shows clear signs of re-emerging from recession with a growing demand for trained operators, qualified site managers and supervisors.

“Our new site in Blackpool will help us deliver top quality training and assessment in the region. It also adds some new capabilities and effectively doubles the company’s training capacity.”

The firm will be welcoming its first students to the new site this week, and has already started taking bookings for its CPCS, NVQ, Site Safety Plus and construction training courses.
