New partner at expanding accountancy firm
One of the region’s largest accountancy firms, Rowlands Accountants, is boosting its Restructuring and Insolvency services with the appointment of a new partner, Andrew Little.
Chartered accountant and insolvency specialist Andrew joined Rowlands Accountants as an associate at the end of last year and has already had significant success with business development and creating new partnership opportunities for the firm.
Andrew previously worked for another accountancy practice for seven years and before that acted as director of finance or operations for a number of private businesses. Operating mainly from the Yarm and Portobello offices, he is tasked with consolidating the team’s presence across the Tees Valley region as well as growing the Northern region as part of Rowlands’ wider expansion plans.
Andrew said: “Rowlands is a forward-thinking and dynamic firm with a wide geographical footprint across the region.
“The team I work with is an extremely strong one and my role is to add a new commercial perspective and develop and accelerate the growth plans put in place before my arrival. This includes consolidating our position locally, pushing our services where we are not quite as well established and utilising my network of business angels, investors and other intermediaries wherever possible.”
Harvey Madden, a partner at Rowlands Accountants, commented: “Andrew works alongside me in Yarm and brings a wealth of experience as well as new capabilities. His ability to seek out additional routes to business recovery complements our existing provision perfectly.”
David Nairn, a partner at the firm’s Portobello office, added: “Our 12-strong Restructuring and Insolvency team has a strong presence in the Teesside and Durham areas and we are now looking to replicate this success around the firm’s Northern offices.
“Andrew’s appointment to partner has been a strategic decision designed to underpin our ongoing growth. He is very well connected and his experience as a chartered accountant means he takes a different approach to companies experiencing trading difficulties. As such he can see all sorts of opportunities that previously might not have been explored which enhances our services in a variety of ways.
“The team we have in place is a talented and ambitious one and Andrew brings a fresh dynamic that is already reaping benefits. He brings a similar work ethic to that in place within the firm and it is a pleasure to have him on board.”
