Local Authority contracts for Durham legal firm
Durham-based law firm, Swinburne Maddison LLP, has secured a significant contract to supply legal services to a group of West Yorkshire Local Authorities.
Following a tender process, the Durham City Solicitors have been appointed to two panels, and will provide services across general litigation support and advice; general contracts; commercial and IT.
The three-year contract strengthens Swinburne Maddison’s client base outside of the North East, and the firm expect the work to create further jobs.
Partner, Martyn Tennant, led the bid team. He said: “We are delighted with the successful outcome of this tender and look forward to working with the Local Authorities involved over the next three years.
“The bid process involved a great deal of hard work from colleagues across our firm and it is very satisfying to know that the hard work has paid off.
“We understand that there were a large number of firms bidding within the process and to be successful in two distinct areas is a testament to our ability to compete with national firms.”
