Good landlord recognition for new property business
Newly-opened Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield lettings agency KIS Lettings have been recognised as one of Hertfordshire’s best landlords.
Despite opening for business just last month, the company has already become the only letting agency in the Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield area to be accepted by the Partnership for Accreditation for Landlords scheme (PAL), a local project which recognises landlords who manage properties to a high standard.
Designed to raise the standard of rented homes in the Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield area, PAL gives tenants piece of mind that their homes will be kept safe and in good repair, their landlord will treat them with courtesy and respect and that if a problem arises with their property it will be solved quickly and effectively.
The scheme is operated by Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council and the University of Hertfordshire and supported by the Hertfordshire Policeand Fire Services, the Citizens Advice Bureau and housing charity Shelter.
Kevin Harris from KIS Lettings Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield said:
“Renting can be a minefield – we’ve all heard housing horror stories about hidden fees and hideous homes.
“That’s why we want people who rent properties from KIS Lettings to be confident when they choose a home from us that their property will be well-managed and well-maintained, and we think being part of the PAL project gives us that.”
“To be accepted by the scheme we had to prove the properties we manage are maintained to the highest standard – so even after a month we’re demonstrating that a KIS property isn’t just a house, it’s a home.”
The Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield office is the first KIS Lettings branch outside of the businesses native North East, where the company already manages properties for over 700 landlords.
Headed by married couple Kevin and Petra Harris, KIS Lettings Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield offers KIS’ unique service, with an emphasis on cutting-edge technology and original thinking. Tenants are not required to provide a deposit, making it easier for landlords to find good tenants by reducing the costs of moving in to properties.
The efficiency delivered by KIS’ pioneering use of software also allows it to offer a high quality service to tenants and landlords alike for a fraction of the fees charged by competitors – while also allowing landlords to inspect their accounts online 24 hours a day 7 days per week.
Every new KIS tenant also gets a free Home Move Box of and cleaning products as soon as they move in, helping them feel at home as fast as possible.
