Leeds transport software firm expect over £10m revenue

Leeds-based transport software specialists Tracis plc have welcomed the lifting of the embargo on UK rail franchising.

In a trading report the firm, which has revealed expected 2013 revenues of over £10m, said the move would give them a period of stable growth in which they can invest in new products and services.

Tracis said it had entered into a long term agreement with one of the main rail operating groups, and also expected to work with other bidders.

The company reported the recent acquisition and integration of Tadcaster outfit, Sky High, had been highly successful, and was expected to contribute to Group performance.

John McArthur, CEO commented: “The progress made since the acquisition of Sky High has been very pleasing and we are excited by the opportunities presented to us in the new markets using technology and services familiar to us.

“We look forward to updating the market in due course on further developments, and in concurrence with the positive industry indicators, we will work to drive further shareholder value through organic growth and acquisition.”
