New board members to drive growth

Hugo Technology, the UK’s leading specialist in the repair, maintenance and service of medical devices and equipment has appointed two new board members as it embarks on an ambitious five year strategic growth plan.

Bromsgrove-based Hugo Technology has announced the appointment of Steve Bertuzzi and Bill Passmore of Corvus Cora International (CCI) as executive directors.

With more than 40 years of board and commercial experience, Steve and Bill will take responsibility for marketing, business strategy and sales growth.

During their careers both have held director and heads of business positions within large medical corporations such as Draeger Medical, Inamed, Stryker Corporation and Karl Storz Gmbh and will be working with Hugo’s joint managing directors to build international partnerships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

Warwick Oakey, joint managing director of Hugo Technology, says: “Since we started the business in 2001, Hugo has consistently grown year-on-year but we needed additional support to take the business to the next level.

“Bill and Steve’s appointment will help deliver that growth because they’ve not just developed the strategy to drive Hugo forward but they’ve also translated it into detailed implementation plans.

“Andrew and I are delighted to have them on board and confident that they will add significant value in driving the Hugo Technology service proposition forward to the medical technical market.”

Hugo employs more than 50 people across the UK servicing medical devices and equipment for OEMs both at home and across Europe.
