North West law firm cheered for property expertise
North West law firm, Birchall Blackburn Law, has been named as a national expert in the process of buying and selling houses.
The firm, which has offices in Cheshire, Manchester and Lancashire, secured the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme, which is a quality mark for legal experts in property deals.
The scheme is supported by some of the UK’s biggest financial lenders and requires solicitor’s firms to undergo thorough examinations to show their knowledge and skills base, as well as their ability to give advice to home buyers and sellers.
Membership depends on the firm upholding its standards, while strict assessments, training and audits will be carried out alongside annual reviews to ensure professionals adhere to good practice.
Michael Foxford, partner at Birchall Blackburn, commented: “This is a quality mark given only to law firms who are able to demonstrate a high quality standard in client care and expertise.
“Buying or selling a house can be a complex process and our clients can now be assured that they are dealing with the experts when it comes to handling deeds and drafting contracts to completing the final transactions.”
Law Society President, Lucy Scott-Moncrieff, commented: “There are many different conveyancing service providers out there, making it difficult for home buyers to identify those which can ensure a safe and efficient level of service.
“The CQS doesn’t just improve efficiency; it enables consumers to recognise practices that provide such expert advice.”
Birchall Blackburn Law will now be given a place on lenders’ panels, which means the firm can act on behalf of a lender for conveyancing transactions.
