MTL Group to work with BDO Sheffield office

Business advisory firm, BDO’s Sheffield office has been selected to support Yorkshire-based MTL Group as the manufacturing firm prepares for growth.

BDO Sheffield recently merged with PKF at the beginning of April 2013, and will now work alongside MTL, who specialise in advanced metal products to sectors such as defence, recycling, construction, rail, and offshore and renewable energy.

MTL operates out of a 300,000 sq ft facility in Rotherham as well as a dockside site in Blyth, Northumberland.

BDO secured the deal through a competitive tender process, to provide audit services and business advice to MTL, while the firm hopes to expand its exports and presence overseas.

Manufacturing specialists and partners Craig Burton and Chris Humphreys led the BDO team with support from Rachel Heath.
