MBS to release e-book with SME Club
Manchester Business School is to collaborate with small and medium business community the SME Club to produce an e-book on making effective use of social media.
The e-book will be given away free to all businesses joining the SME Club online at www.smeclubmanchester.com.
This will be the latest in a series of free e-books released by the SME Club, with past titles including a business planning publication written in partnership with RBS.
Anita Greenhill, a Senior Lecturer at Manchester Business School, will be working on the e-book. She said:
“With the rapid and ever increasing uptake of social media it is important for businesses to consider how to use this tool effectively. Social media offers many development opportunities including marketing, customer relations and the prospect of improving internal communication. We hope this e-book will help businesses to better understand the opportunities social media may hold for them.”
Alexandra Kington, Marketing Manager for proâmanchester, the financial and professional services membership organisation which runs the SME Club, said:
“Small business owners feel that they should integrate social media into the marketing mix, but they are unsure how to go about it and are unclear what kind of returns they can expect. With the help of Manchester Business School’s expertise in this area we can answer these questions and put our members on track to using social media to its full potential.”
