TribePad launches pioneering careers hub for the BBC
Sheffield-based next generation recruitment software company, TribePad, has this week launched an innovative online ‘Careers Hub’ for the BBC, allowing the institution to bring recruitment processes in-house, dramatically reducing its cost-per-hire.
TribePads ‘social ATS’ (applicant tracking system), allows candidates to easily search and apply for roles, build their own career profiles, and utilise an extensive resource section which includes videos, podcasts, and tools to support candidate applications, as well as learning more about the Corporation itself.
It will help the BBC recruit for a wide variety of roles across all disciplines including TV, radio, online, news, technology, future media, head office functions as well as its five orchestras.
Crucially, the system will help the BBC make effective use of the talent it has already attracted, leverage its large base of contingent workforce as well as enable it to become a proactive resourcing function.
Based on similar rollouts for security solutions business G4S and services industry provider, Sodexo, the new system has the potential to transform the BBC’s recruiting processes.
Annabel Dixon, head of resourcing at the BBC, said: “We originally took the decision to use TribePad in January this year due to their ability to assist us with our whole recruitment process, from attraction, engagement and selection, utilising social media and content, through to providing our candidates with an optimal experience.
“The Careers Hub is Tribepad’s first project for us, and it is already delivering significant benefits.”
Lisa Scales, co-founder, TribePad, said: “Working with clients like the BBC is the holy grail for an innovative technology company like TribePad.
“The BBC is synonymous with quality and we believe together we can help them find the right talent over the coming years.”
