Semester Recruitment secure £250,000 fund
Health and social care recruiter, Semester Recruitment, has raised a £250,000 fund from Positive Cashflow Finance.
The business has bases in Hemsworth, Yorkshire and Sale, Manchester, while Positive is based in Manchester, Birmingham and Basingstoke.
Semester previously worked with a bank-owned funder, but decided to switch to Positive who they said were better able to meet their funding requirements.
The firm was founded in 2004 and specialises in providing health and social care recruitment services to voluntary organisations, local authorities and the private sector.
Director at Semester Recruitment, Nicola Jenkinson, said: “We have been looking for a more flexible and supportive lender to work with as the business grows.
“Positive fits the bill perfectly. They have demonstrated a real understanding of our values and our growth ambitions and have given us the financial flexibility to focus on achieving our aims.”
Semester employs 7 staff and posted turnover worth £1.3m in 2012, while Positive supports companies with funds of between £10,000 and £1m.
David Smith, managing director at Positive, also commented: “The recruitment industry is dynamic and competitive, so we are pleased to have been able to provide Semester with this invoice finance solution.
“I am confident that it will enable the team to focus on their growth strategy and free up cash to invest in the business and spur on growth.”
