Arriva North West & Wales Strikes Gold
Arriva North West & Wales is celebrating success after achieving the highly coveted Investors in People (IIP) Gold award for exceptional business performance.
The UK’s leading people management standard was awarded to Arriva across all of its operating areas in the North West & Wales. The accolade was made even more significant as only 3 per cent of IiP organisations across the UK have achieved the award.
The company was assessed in ten different areas, which included business, learning and development, people management, leadership and management strategies, management effectiveness, recognition and reward, involvement and empowerment, performance measurement and continuous improvement.
Phil Stone, regional managing director for Arriva North West & Wales, commented:
“We are exceptionally proud to be awarded such an accolade. Our journey to Gold status began when our Runcorn depot achieved IIP standard in 2009, followed by each individual garage throughout the company. Corporate status followed in 2011 and then the IIP Bronze award in May 2012.
“The next step in our journey is to strive for IIP Champion status, by continuing to share and promote best practice.”
