Clough & Willis’s Shefali Talukdar Joins Forever Manchester
Shefali Talukdar, managing partner of Bury based law firm Clough & Willis, has joined the Board of Trustees of Forever Manchester - the community foundation for Greater Manchester.
Shefali, who has headed up Clough & Willis since 2003, was recruited to the Board by Nick Massey who is the charity’s chief executive. Her joining follows Clough & Willis’s announcement last year that Forever Manchester was to be its nominated charity for 2012. Last year over £3,000.00 was raised by the firm’s workforce. Fundraising initiatives included; various sporting challenges as well as community and corporate focussed events.
There are 57 community foundations across the UK and Forever Manchester is the community foundation that represents Greater Manchester. It supports all ten boroughs: Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and Wigan. Forever Manchester has strong connections within each local community and so ensures donations are accurately targeted to achieve the biggest impact.
Shefali commented: “I’m delighted to have joined the Board of Trustees, especially as my colleagues are such an esteemed bunch of people. Forever Manchester does an amazing job across the whole Greater Manchester area so I’m now looking forward to hopefully adding value by bringing my particular legal expertise to the team.”
Nick added: “Having Shefali on the team is a great addition to the Board and it’s positive to see her already making her mark.”
