Davis Blank Furniss Announces Next Employment Law Event

Davis Blank Furniss – the Manchester based law firm – has announced details of its next Employment Law breakfast seminar which will be covering the topical issue of Disability Discrimination. It will be taking place at 8.30am on Wednesday 18th July at its head office on Deansgate. Disability discrimination is a complex area of employment law and employers often get caught out by the positive duty to make reasonable adjustments in cases where employees are deemed disabled under the Equality Act. With an increasing number of employees alleging disability discrimination, some organisations don’t know how to protect themselves against these potential risks or what steps to take. This seminar will provide a comprehensive update on disability discrimination and will assist businesses in identifying potential risk areas; what steps to take when dealing with protected employees; and how to deal with difficult issues relating to employees on long term sick.

The session will be chaired by Shiva Shadi – the firm’s head of Employment Law – and she will be joined by colleagues from her department.
