One Trinity Green going from strength to strength

An impressive and expanding client list has ensured the North East’s greenest business centre is going from strength to strength and exceeding all expectations just nine months after opening.

The futuristic, super-eco £5.4m One Trinity Green’s dual draw of state-of-the-art environmental credentials and pioneering technology and facilities have put it at the heart of the region’s high-tech ‘green’ future.

Its award-winning attractions include 35 offices, four workshops and two hybrid units, as well as conference, meeting and training facilities.

And it also boasts high-end IT and telecoms technologies with capabilities that include super-fast internet and a stunning telephony platform.

They allow tenants, many of which are new and growing companies from a range of sectors to link to clients around the world and meet the needs of their business in an instant.

Tenants include marketing software developer Performance Horizon Group, Nine, whose software solutions help people change lifestyle habits, events production company JC Events, ISSK, which offers strategic consultancy based service to businesses looking to expand, and MNX which provides security services for retail and licensed premises and at nationwide events.

Others include Advanced Renewable Power Ltd, a specialist in the design, supply, installation and commissioning of renewable energy systems for business and home, Envirowatch, the creator of a device which monitors air quality, noise and climate data, and PR agency, Yellow Dog.

They have helped One Trinity Green – a collaboration between South Tyneside Council and Groundwork South Tyneside and Newcastle, which benefitted from £2,466,500 of funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), managed by the Department for Communities and Local Government - exceed its early occupancy targets.

But many other business people and entrepreneurs are taking advantage of the 30,000sq ft centre, with more than 3,000 passing through its doors to utilise the high quality facilities which include conference rooms and superb meeting spaces.

They too boast super-fast wi-fi and state of the art technology and act as a hub for businesses to meet clients, make contacts and share expertise at the site in Eldon Street, South Shields, South Tyneside.

To business manager Siobhan O’Brien, Groundwork South Tyneside and Newcastle, success is no surprise and reflects the growing appeal of its facilities to business which have switched from other locations within the region.

She said: “One Trinity Green has outstanding technology running throughout and is the perfect environment for going-places businesses to be based.

“It contains a multitude of facilities and technologies, and is a tremendous centre from which to do business.

“On top of that, all businesses and visitors are supported by a skilled and dedicated front desk team who ensure all necessary support and help is provided.”

So good are One Trinity Green’s credentials that last month it won The Legacy – Sustainability prize in Constructing Excellence in the North East’s (CENE) Twenty Thirteen Awards.

Judges at the leading construction industry awards praised the way principles of sustainable construction and/or sustainable development that will leave a positive and long-lasting legacy had been applied to its development.

CENE is the regional partner to Constructing Excellence, the single organisation charged with driving the change agenda in construction, housing and regeneration nationally.

The centre also provides tenants with 24-hour-a-day, seven days-a-week, free parking, a rooftop terrace for relaxation, as well as flexible ‘easy-in, easy-out’ tenancy arrangements and specialist support for businesses.

Communications are guaranteed through 100Mb internet connection backed by a resilient Ethernet First Mile service running over an alternative network. This ensures continuity of service should there be an internet connection failure.

It is boosted further by a Mitel® IP telephony platform, which provides users with the best and most impressive communications and functionality currently available.

The centre is also the holder of a five-star “outstanding” rating from the Building Research Establishment (BRE).

Councillor Michael Clare, Lead Member for Regeneration and Economy at South Tyneside Council, said: “One Trinity Green is a superb new award-winning development embracing the opportunities of the low carbon era and providing an ideal launch-pad for dynamic new and growing businesses to build successful futures across all industries.

“Boosting economic growth is one of the Council’s top priorities and so we are delighted this prestigious address is proving so popular with businesses. Meanwhile we continue to invest in the Borough’s long term future through other major regeneration schemes such as South Shields 365 and Hebburn Town Centre.

“We’re aiming high with One Trinity Green with a vision to place it at the forefront of business enterprise and for South Tyneside to lead the way in the green industrial revolution not just regionally, but on a national and international scale.”
