Council drafts in Shortland Penn + Moore
Commercial property specialist Shortland Penn + Moore has been drafted in to help Warwickshire County Council to realise assets from its property portfolio.
The agency, which has offices in Coventry and Birmingham – covering Warwickshire and the wider West Midlands, has been accepted onto the Council’s Framework for Asset Disposal.
That means finding buyers or new tenants for selected properties across Warwickshire and already Shortland Penn + Moore has been instructed to market two units.
One is Beada House – a high-quality, self-contained 5,692 sq ft office building in Newtown Road, Bedworth, with plenty of car parking – and the other is a 2,843 sq ft industrial unit with a yard on the Carlyon Road Industrial in Atherstone.
David Penn, the managing director of Shortland Penn + Moore, said: “We are looking forward to working with Warwickshire County Council to help find new tenants or owners for a selection of properties.
“We were accepted on to the Council’s list as part of this framework and have been asked to pitch to market two properties and, on both occasions, we have won the instructions.
“That’s an excellent show of faith in our services and we believe we can match the right organisations with these properties on behalf of the Council.”
Shortland Penn + Moore was originally established as Shortland Horne Commercial a decade ago but was rebranded in 2011.
Since then it has established an office in Birmingham and has grown in terms of number of staff and in terms of turnover.
