Double Award Success for Fast Web Media
Fast Web Media won two categories at a major awards ceremony for the international digital marketing and e-commerce industry last night. The Manchester-based company scooped the ‘Retail’ award and the ‘Special Award for Innovation’ at The Digitals 2013 for its weatherFIT solution, which enabled specialist clothing retailer Bravissimo to boost its online sales by linking online marketing campaigns to real-time local weather data.
weatherFIT enables pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns to be tailored in real time according to the local weather. Bravissimo used the solution to boost PPC-driven online sales revenues between March and May 2012. During the 3-month campaign, sales of Bravissimo swimwear grew by a whopping 599.5% compared to March and May 2011.
Bravissimo also used weatherFIT on a campaign to promote its Pepperberry-branded range of dresses. This saw a sales increase of 77.95% and an increase in average order size of 77.96% in the same time period. Fast Web Media’s innovative and unique approach to optimising customers’ online marketing campaigns and boosting sales using weatherFIT helped it secure the two awards.
Mike Flynn, CEO of Fast Web Media said: “These awards drew entries from leading international brands, so winning two awards for weatherFIT is a fantastic result for our team. The results of the Bravissimo and Pepperberry campaigns using our weatherFIT solution really speak for themselves, and show how online retailers could use the solution to boost their sales, whatever the weather.”
The Digitals Awards is created by new media age and Econsultancy and, although the competition is relatively new, it has already become a sought-after digital ‘hall of fame’. It celebrates recognises and rewards excellence in digital marketing and e-commerce. The London Awards Ceremony took place at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane.
