National property consultancy Carter Jonas has announced the completion of a merger with Peter Greenwood & Co LLP, an independent firm of chartered surveyors, land and estate agents, in Boroughbridge, North Yorkshire.
Established by Peter Greenwood in 1988, the firm is predominantly a rural practice and manages in excess of 85,000 acres in Yorkshire and Scotland.
Carter Jonas has a network of 24 offices across the country, with three in Yorkshire; York, Harrogate, and Leeds. Peter Greenwood & Co will trade as Carter Jonas LLP in Boroughbridge.
Mark Granger, chief executive of Carter Jonas, commented: “This merger is in line with our firm’s strategy to continue expanding nationally and further strengthen our established business in the north.
“Peter Greenwood & Co is a hugely reputable local firm with an excellent rural client base, and we are delighted to be joining forces with them.”
Peter Greenwood, partner and founder of Peter Greenwood & Co, comments, “The merging of our two businesses will make Carter Jonas the principal estate management practice in Yorkshire. Through combining our resources, we will be able to offer our clients a broader range of services, including valuable consultancy on planning matters, strategic land and renewable energy.”
