North East prepares for "Show Your Mussel" event

Businesses and speakers are gearing up to address a North East audience at ‘Show Your Mussel’, which promises to be the regions Premier Business Show.

Set for Wednesday 17th July at Gosforth Park Racecourse, Newcastle between 10am and 4pm, almost 200 organisations will showcase themselves to North East visitors at the event.

Speakers will include tea business Ringtons Holdings’ executive chairman, Nigel Smith, and Simon Fisher, who is finance director at Newcastle International Airport.

Reverend Glyn Evans of St. Andrew’s Church will also address the event after being voted the Alternative Business Person of the Year in 2011.

Other speakers will include Virgin Money’s head of social enterprise project, Pete Wood, and Stephen Slater, one of five director/shareholders at North East Chartered Accountancy firm, RMT.

‘Show Your Mussel’ is a collaboration between The Mussel Club and Daisy Green Media & Events, and hopes to offer exhibitors and visitors opportunities to do business, increase brand awareness and find collaborative partnerships.

A BMW EV electric car will also be on hand to test drive, as one of around only 1,000 in the world, while chill-out sections and a games area will be available to meet clients or relax in.
