150 North East jobs created at Utilitywise
North East energy firm Utilitywise has announced the creation of 150 job vacancies, to be filled at its headquarters in South Shields.
The vacancies – which Utilitywise has said it hoped would be a ‘huge boost’ for the regional jobs market – include energy consultant and team manager roles.
The vacancies also include roles for French and German speakers, to work closely with Utilitywise’s growing portfolio of continental clients.
Utilitywise recently acquired rival EIC for £15.5m and, in April, acquired water consultancy specialists Aqua Veritas.
Claire Waterson, Director of People & HR at Utilitywise, said: “Recent acquisitions have made Utilitywise one of the biggest players in its industry and we are now looking to bring in more talent to help us grow even further.
“We have ambitious growth plans, based on organic as well as acquisitive growth, and we now have a vast amount of energy management and utilities expertise at our disposal.
“We know that our success in recent years has been due to the exceptional people we have working here and we are keen to add to these numbers with a rapid recruitment programme.
“We want people to build careers at Utilitywise and there are numerous opportunities for ambitious and talented people to progress.”
Utilitywise is one of the biggest energy and water consultancies in the UK market. It helps its clients to extract maximum value from their utilities contracts, to reduce their energy consumption and to lower their carbon footprint.
