Fundraising month helps local hospice
Tilly Bailey & Irvine Solicitors is saying thank you to clients who helped the law firm raise more than £6000 for Hartlepool & District Hospice.
Throughout its annual ‘Make a Will Month’ in May 2013, Tilly Bailey & Irvine Solicitors invited anyone making or updating a will to replace the solicitor’s fee with a donation to the Hartlepool & District Hospice charity.
Carolyn Tilly, partner with Tilly Bailey & Irvine Solicitors, was delighted with the results. She said: “It always amazes us how generous people are, and we’re really grateful for every donation that our clients have given. Hartlepool Hospice provides a vital service in our town, and we’re always keen to support it.
“Clients who’ve made use of ‘Make a Will Month’ know that they’ve made a real difference to the charity, and also to their loved ones. For many, a will is something they have ‘not got round to yet’. However, we all recognise that it’s vitally important to be prepared. Campaigns like this encourage people to stop putting off making their will - a bonus alongside the benefits for the charity.”
Rebecca Jobson, Trust and Legacy Fundraiser for Hartlepool & District Hospice, added: “The funds raised are vital to the work we do, and we’re incredibly grateful to Tilly Bailey & Irvine Solicitors and its clients for their generosity. Living with a serious illness affects everyone differently, which is why we provide a range of services. This donation helps us continue to help local people when they need us.”
