Business lobbying organisation appoints Aberfield Communications
Aberfield Communications has been appointed by the business lobbying organisation Downtown in Business as it expands its operations into Leeds.
The Leeds-based agency has been tasked with raising the profile of Downtown Leeds in Business (DLIB), to help drive membership around its programme of events aimed at senior decision makers and the city’s key influencers.
DLIB seeks to provide leadership to the private sector by articulating the views of its members to the public sector agencies that govern the region.
Established in Liverpool in 2004, Downtown in Business’s primary objective is to influence and promote an active enterprise and investment culture, and it is now hoping to build upon the tremendous success that Leeds has experienced so far in 2013.
Chairman of DLIB, Frank McKenna, said: “Extending Downtown’s business to Leeds has proved extremely successful. We have already attracted over 40 high profile businesses in our six months here.
“We are always looking for opportunities to extend our reputation across the city and are confident that with the support of Aberfield, we can achieve this.”
Tim Downs, director at Aberfield, added: “We are excited to welcome Downtown in Business to Leeds and look forward to increasing the company’s profile across the region.
“We recognise Downtown’s flair for creating environments that bring together the private and public sector to promote policy objectives, which will no doubt continue to promote Leeds as a national hub for essential economic growth.”
