The week’s North West appointments
Last week saw a number of moves and appointments in the North West. Here, Bdaily gives a roundup of some of the significant manoeuvres.
North West law firm SAS Daniels announced three promotions in its Chester office, with one promotion to partner.
The firm has promoted Andrew Clark from consultant to partner, while James Goddard and Sarah-Jane Dunhilll both became an associate.
At the Greater Manchester Business Growth Hub, three new teams were launched to deliver specific programmes as part of the Government’s City Deal contract.
Mike Carrighan, the new senior business growth manager, will head up the hub’s main team, which will include eight growth advisors.
The mentoring team will be led by Paul Tucker, formerly of the National Centre for Entrepreneurship in Education, while Janine Smith will take on a management role for a six-person growth start-up team.
Revered legal figure and former corporate at DWF LLP, Katharine Mellor, joined Manchester’s law firm Slater Heelis as partner.
Ms Mellor joins the company with 30 years of experience advising on corporate governance and public-private partnerships, with specific experience in healthcare and the charity sector.
Mike Fox, managing partner at Slater Heelis LLP, said: “I feel both proud and fortunate that Katharine has chosen to join us.
“Katharine is dedicated to providing a service to her clients that is second to none, which fits entirely with the philosophy of Slater Heelis.”
