York metal detector firm secures funding for headquarters
A York-based manufacturer of metal detection machinery has acquired new premises for growth.
SNB Electronic Services will base its new headquarters in Elmet following funding from Barclays.
The family run firm builds, hires and services metal detection equipment for the food industry, and supplies high street names.
David Hunt, senior business banking manager at Barclays said: “It’s great to see SNB Electronics bucking the current economic trend and growing by participating in the Government-backed ‘Funding For Lending’ scheme. The new premises will provide further opportunities for growth and the future looks bright for this well managed and ambitious business.”
SNB Electronic Services, which employs 16 locally in York, has an annual turnover of £2million and has used the new Government-backed ‘Funding for Lending’ scheme to purchase and kit out the new premises.
