New £700,000 facility is world-class
One of the UK’s leading medical technology repair and maintenance companies has invested £700,000 in a new workshop facility to attract both national and international clients as the business continues to grow year-on-year.
Midland-based Hugo Technology employs 40 people and works with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to maintain cutting-edge medical devices that save lives.
The new facility – Hugo 2 – was opened by the company’s two longest-serving employees, Christine Radouch and Paul Marshall, in an event which outlined the company’s future and key growth areas for 2013.
Hugo 2 has already been showcased to innovators of medtech equipment from across the world such as Elliquence, NxStage, Care Innovations and GE with other potential new business partners scheduled to visit the facility in the coming months.
Andrew Parton, joint managing director at Hugo Technology, says: “The new facility represents our vision and ambition, and is a physical commitment to our clients to show we have the capacity to take on new business.
“Finding the right funding to expand has been challenging but we have made it work. Both Paul and Christine have been with Hugo from the outset and it seemed fitting that they opened the new facility. It is as much as an investment in the team’s future as well as Warwick and I as business owners.
“We are now confident that we have the talent, space and drive to continue to deliver a world-class service,” says Andrew.
The 9,000 sq ft facility is spread across two levels, incorporating a boardroom, offices, warehouse and workshops.
Since its completion, Hugo 2 has already attracted interest with the complete ground floor committed to new clients.
Christine Radouch says: “It is great to see how far Hugo Technology has come. It started small but with ambition and big ideas and it has been great to be part of that vision.”
Hugo 2 has increased the company’s service capacity as engineers continue to deliver innovative solutions to outsourcing needs and is about to embark on an engineering recruitment drive to ensure it has the correct skills to meet client expectations.
