Europe and Middle East boost Driver Group predictions
Construction and engineering firm, Driver Group, has reported continuing positive trends ahead of their full year results in September.
The Rossendale business posted strong results in May 2013, and said its European business has improved, with especial benefits from its £3m acquisition of resolution firm Trett in May 2012.
Driver Group said “tentative signs of a recovery” are being felt in the UK construction industry, while in Europe the business has increased its market share.
The firm also said its focus on “utilisation levels” has allowed it to improve margins in Europe, while in the Middle East the group is still outperforming its own predictions.
Better than expected trading in Europe and the Middle East have boosted management predictions for the full year results in September.
The company said it will continue to invest in its new regions of the USA, Asia Pacific and Africa, while it plans to put money into oil, gas and petrochemical expertise across the Americas, Middle East, South East Asia and UK (Aberdeen).
Dave Webster, CEO of Driver Group said “I am delighted with the continuing solid growth and control of our business across the Middle East Region and the continued margin improvement in Europe as the management teams there progress towards optimum staff utilisation levels.
“These gains come out of the benefits we anticipated from the acquisition of Trett as we improve our client base and increase market share and we continue to look forwards with a degree of optimism.”
