Sizzling Summer Prize Up For Grabs

The Gates Shopping Centre in Durham will be getting into the summer spirit on Saturday as it offers customers the chance to win a weekend break in Northumberland.

As part of The Gates’ Summer Sizzler, to be held on Saturday (July 27 2013) from 10am to 3pm, visitors to the centre will find a suitcase next to Wilkinson packed with key summer essentials belonging to a mystery celebrity. Shoppers who guess correctly which famous personality the case belongs to will then be entered into a prize draw and a winner selected at random on the day.

Hosted by Metro Radio’s Keith Martin, the event will also showcase live music from acoustic trio North Road, winners of Metro Radio’s Big Audition which was held at The Gates earlier this year, while street teams will be on hand in The Gates for visitors wishing to get involved in the competition.

The Gates’ operations manager, Daniel Tabiner said: “It’s great to get our shoppers involved with what’s happening in the centre and we always look for new ways to reward them for their loyalty and we’ll continue to do so.

“A weekend away for four in Northumberland is the perfect prize for anyone who wants to enjoy this beautiful summer weather plus it’s also helping to promote the North East as a fantastic holiday destination for those from the region, and to those who may be visiting us from further afield.”
