CRG Healthcare secures South West NHS recruitment contract
Merseyside-based CRG Healthcare (Castlerock Recruitment Group) has been appointed to supply qualified nurses to the NHS in the South West in the firm’s first framework agreement.
The deal with Bristol and Western Purchasing Consortium, a collaborative of Bristol, Bath, Weston and Gloucester NHS Trusts (BBWG), will see CRG become a primary recruiter to support all hospitals across the South West region.
BBWG is a community of health organisations, which formed in a bid to find and recruit quality nurses at good value.
CRG’s portion of the contract will bring in an annual value of around £5m, and the firm is already encouraging candidates to step forward to fill immediate positions in the South West.
The recruitment firm’s healthcare division is run by nurses, which it says helps to meet the needs of patients and the nurses it employs.
CRG Healthcare secured the contract through a competitive tender process, and said it won the deal as a result of its strong supply of staff and cost-effective service.
Vivienne Jones, general manager at CRG Healthcare, commented: “This framework win is a significant step for CRG Healthcare, because there is so much work available to nursing staff.
“We have over 100 roles and immediate placements available, so this is a really busy and exciting time for us.
“As a nurse-led organisation, we are dedicated to providing a 24-hour, 365 days a year coverage service.
“We hope to be able to supply highly-qualified staff as part of the contract, in both an economically-viable and professional manner – the precise reasons why we were successful in joining the framework.”
John Orzel, purchasing specialist at BBWG, added: “We are confident that CRG Healthcare will provide us with the efficient service expected of a BBWG supplier.
“CRG Healthcare understands the needs of both the patient and the healthcare professional, which means it is able to provide South West patients with the best possible care.”
