Manchester tourism industry to be revered
Tourism businesses in Greater Manchester have been invited to submit entries to the Manchester Tourism Awards, set for 6th November.
The awards will recognise success and quality within the region’s tourism industry, while also helping to raise standards within the sector.
13 gongs will be given out in total, with the majority of award winners to be chosen by a panel of industry professionals, while the ‘Best Night Out’ award will be voted for by the public.
The closing date for entries is 2nd September, and winners will represent Manchester at the national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.
Paul Simpson, managing director of Visit Manchester, said: “The Tourism Awards have grown in stature year on year and I know the competition at this year’s awards will be incredibly fierce.
“The ceremony will take place at The Lowry’s Quays Theatre – and similar to last year, when we were able to provide guests with a preview of Disney’s The Lion King – the evening will include a sneak peek of the National Theatre’s War Horse, which is coming to The Lowry on 20 November until 18 January.”
