Paragon add new home to portfolio
National healthcare provider, Paragon Healthcare, has built a new home at Pocklington in East Yorkshire.
Paragon Healthcare Group, which already operates Westwood Park, a 51 bedroom care home in Beverley, and Londesborough Court Care Home, a 30 bedroom residential home in Market Weighton, has built the new home at Wilberforce Lodge, Pocklington overlooking the local airfield.
The twelve month construction provides purpose built accommodation for elderly residents, dementia patients, and patients with physical disabilities.
Megan Kennedy, registered nurse, director of Paragon Healthcare said: “Care for the elderly and dementia sufferers has never been more important and with an ageing population, it’s important we can provide the right level of care this vulnerable sector of society deserves. Barclays has supported this project throughout and it’s been very rewarding seeing the development come to fruition and the resulting state of the art facilities that will enable us to provide first class care facilities in Pocklington.”
Paragon Healthcare now employs 40 staff and it’s anticipated that the current annual turnover will increase substantially following the investment.
David Hunt, Barclays senior business banking manager commented: “This is a great example of well managed business thriving in the current climate and investing for future growth. The funding we provided under the ‘Funding for Lending’ scheme will provide the company with a lump sum cashback which will enable the company to plan with confidence going forward.”
