North West restaurant recruiter raises £1m investment
Manchester-based business chef recruiter, Regent Recruitment, has secured investment from The North West Fund for Venture Capital, which is managed by Enterprise Ventures.
The company, which recruits chefs for some of the world’s best restaurants, raised an undisclosed cash sum to support marketing and infrastructure, as well as a push to build its client base.
Regent Recruitment’s clients include iconic London restaurants such as The Savoy, The Ritz, and The Dorchester, as well as international names such as the Burj Al-Arab in Dubai and the Taj Group in India.
The company works out of offices in London and Manchester, and was established in 1997 by Veena Hira.
As part of the investment, Sue Craven, who established and later sold the executive search firm Armstrong Craven, has joined the business as a Non-Executive Director.
Richard Young of Enterprise Ventures, commented: “Regent Recruitment has built great brand loyalty in its specialist field and has a deep network of contacts.
“We share Veena’s excitement about the opportunity to grow the business, both in the UK and internationally.”
The North West Fund for Venture Capital is part of The £155m North West Fund, which is financed jointly by the European regional Development Fund and the European Investment Bank.
