North Yorkshire business blazing a trail in fire safety!

The offices of The Fire Safety Company in the North Yorkshire village of Brompton-on-Swale had a real buzz about them on Friday, 2nd August 2013 because William Hague, Foreign Secretary and M.P. for Richmond made a flying visit to present the team with their latest Fire Safety Accreditation which included framed certificates and medals. This additional accreditation for the company means they now hold the unique position of being the only UK business to hold four separate fire safety awards.

As Mr Hague presented the awards to the team, he commented: “Many congratulations on achieving your four Gold Standard fire safety accreditations, and I am delighted to hear that you’ve clearly raised the standard for your industry. It’s a tremendous accomplishment and I’m pleased to support one of our local businesses”.

Stephen Adams, Chief Executive of BAFE(British Association of Fire Equipment) said, “I am delighted to congratulate The Fire Safety Company on being the first to achieve registrations to four different BAFE schemes. Current fire safety legislation requires that the person responsible for a property takes all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of staff and customers. By using fire protection companies that have gained certification from an accredited body, they can show that they have done this.
