Weightmans recruiting twelve as growth continues
Top 50 law firm Weightmans, which has its main headquarters in Liverpool, has announced plans to significantly increase the size of its marketing team. The firm intends to create 12 new positions at manager, executive and assistant level. The new roles are for bids/tenders, business development, CRM, database, digital, internal communications and PR roles.
Weightmans saw one of the biggest turnover rises in the UK 200 2012 following its merger with Mace & Jones and the acquisition of the insurance arm of Vizards Wyeth at the start of the 2011–12 period. Over the last twelve months, the firm has entered the UK Top 50 and seen a record increase in turnover of almost 33% on the previous year.
Director of marketing Sarah-Jane Howitt said: “Two key strands of our strategy are focused on our clients and our profile in our chosen markets. The marketing team plays a central role in driving the firm forward in these areas, working day to day with the board and senior partners to deliver the strategy.”
“It is absolutely essential that the structure and make-up of our team reflects the strategic direction of the firm and this expansion is in keeping with this.”
The new roles will be based in Liverpool and London, but will entail working across the firm’s UK offices, including those in Manchester, Knutsford and Birmingham.
