Tatton Estates seeking to build 250 homes in Cheshire
Tatton Estate and its planning advisers HOW Planning, have submitted plans for a high quality residential development on land located to the north of Parkgate industrial estate in Knutsford, Cheshire.
The proposals follow the borough council’s decision to grant planning consent for industrial development in 2009, but have been amended to meet local housing needs, incorporating improvements to the infrastructure improvement and with reduced traffic.
The plans provide for approximately 250 new homes and include woodland buffer zones as well as open spaces throughout.
Jon Suckley, partner at HOW Planning said: “It is our client’s overall vision is to create a high quality, sustainable development, which will provide a long term legacy for the Estate and community at this important site in north Cheshire.”
Tatton Estate said: “After a very comprehensive exercise of consultation and public engagement, we have made significant amendments not only to the 2008/9 industrial development, but from the initial proposals for residential and office use. We are confident that would be the most appropriate development, in the right place, done well.”
Steven Verity, Director at CBRE Residential commented: “This scheme offers a unique opportunity for the Estate and Cheshire East to create an exemplar residential scheme within an attractive and well-managed environment which will be a superb addition to the residential market for Knutsford and Cheshire more generally.”
