Trinity un-dresses for success as US boutique chooses Leeds

America’s largest lingerie retailer, with a 30 year reputation, has revealed it will open in Leeds at the end of August.

Victoria’s Secret has chosen the city as one of only a handful of UK locations for its exclusive boutiques.

The US underwear giant will launch its 10,000 square feet store in Trinity Leeds, the city’s newest multi-million pound shopping centre which opened earlier this year, on August 29th.

Victoria’s Secret has over 1000 stores across America but only entered the UK market last year with a flagship boutique on London’s Bond Street and another at the Westfield shopping centre in Stratford, east London.

Leeds has been chosen as one of only three UK locations alongside Manchester and Sheffield, which will open on August 8th and 13th respectively.

The brand is famous for its cast of ‘Angel’ models, including supermodels such as Adriana Lima (pictured), and the Leeds boutique will feature exclusive new ranges such as Body by Victoria and the company’s new fragrance, Victoria.

Gerald Jennings, portfolio director for Land Securities who own and manage Trinity Leeds, said: “We are delighted to welcome Victoria’s Secret to Trinity Leeds and further enhance the retail offer within the city. The buzz and anticipation from our customers has been phenomenal and the new store will no doubt create an even greater draw for visitors. August is an exciting month for us with the opening of other new brands to Leeds including Skechers and Adidas.”
