Businesses with the potential to export are being encouraged to seek expert advice this weekend at a special event being held in Sheffield.
Help on going global and targeting overseas opportunities will be on offer tomorrow, Saturday 10 August, with the arrival of the StartUp Britain bus at Folksy Summer School at the Woodlands Discovery Centre in Ecclesall Woods.
Organised by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), the bus will end its nationwide tour in Sheffield, helping aspiring entrepreneurs looking to start their own business or expand an existing small operation.
International trade adviser Kathryn Borg, from UKTI, will be on board to provide advice. Kathryn said:
“The StartUp Britain bus is aimed at business newcomers looking for guidance and support on how to turn their ideas and aspirations into reality.
“Overseas growth is a vital component of modern business, and UKTI is keen to support ambitious entrepreneurs every step of the way.
“The world of exports can seem a daunting proposition when you have yet to get a local business off the ground, but tapping into emerging global markets may actually be the be the way to go.”
