Jones Melling ramps up expansion drive with plush new premises

North West-based chartered surveyors, Jones Melling, is gearing up for expansion as it takes on a key new hire, following its recent move at one of Warrington’s premier business hubs.

Following a ‘bumper year’, Jon Baldwin, formerly of Woodscape Ltd has joined Jones Melling as a senior quantity surveyor. Jon brings with him eight years’ experience in the construction and property sector and will be responsible for expanding the extent of Quantity Surveying Services.

Speaking about the appointment, Ken Jones, joint founder and managing director of Jones Melling, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be welcoming Jon to the team. He has extensive experience across the sector and his knowledge and expertise will undoubtedly help to expand our footprint.”

Just four years since its launch, Jones Melling has established itself as one of the North West’s leading practices of chartered surveyors. Its client roster features some of the UK’s largest banking and property institutions, such as Allied Irish Bank and HBos, as well as a host of leading architects, care operators and legal practices.

Jon added: “It’s the perfect time to be joining Jones Melling. In my new role, I will help support the team in servicing its current clients, as well as driving ahead new business growth.”

Jon Baldwin’s appointment follows a strong period of growth for the company and its recent transition to larger premises at Birchwood Park, Warrington. The new office space has increased Jones Melling’s floor space by 26 per cent – serving to further the company’s ambitious growth plans over the coming year.

Ken commented: “We were rapidly outgrowing our old offices and felt that it was time to move to offices that reflected our changing business. The new office is a six-storey, multi-occupied building, with more space for our expanding team and a more prestigious address in which to host our clients. It provides the perfect environment for Jones Melling to flourish and grow.”

The business park, which is home to over 150 blue-chip companies and SMEs, welcomed Jones Melling to its new premises in June 2013.
