New flexible offices at historic Liverpool centre-piece

Parts of Liverpool’s India Buildings are to get a fresh lease of life as twenty-first century work spaces.

Investment and development firm Green Property is to transform areas within the Grade II listed building into The Hub - a series of serviced offices based on the second floor.

The company says it is responding to market demand for flexible offices.

Green Property director Mike Tapp said: “The Hub offices provide a modern solution in classic office surroundings. We have had scores of enquiries from small to medium sized companies desperate for all-inclusive space but they are not in a position to be tied down to long term contracts and are wary of extra costs which can often come with offices.

“We understand that there is a growing number of flexible offices on offer in Liverpool, but none have the benefit of being in one of the city’s most iconic and prestigious buildings.”

Providing a variety of office sizes from three to 28 workstations, The Hub also offers a communal meeting room and breakout areas fitted out to a high standard. The offices will be available on packages inclusive of rent and utilities and will be furnished if required.

The creation of The Hub is in addition to the £1.5 million project to refurbish the whole o the 35,000 sq ft fifth floor refurbished to grade A standard.

Mr Tapp added: “India Buildings is arguably one of the most attractive in the city, and it is right that it is refurbished to its former glory. We believe there is a strong market for the high quality and expansive office space we are creating – currently the largest in the city and we are expecting plenty of interest when work is completed in September.”
