Small-bet pens deal with indie gaming network Nextpeer

Yorkshire technology firm, Small-bet, has signed a deal with mobile gaming company, Nextpeer, that will introduce its wagering platform to a global network of developers.

The Harrogate-based games software specialist has also recently confirmed a contract with Midlands-based independent games company Innocent Devils.

Small-bet managing director, Neil Spence, claims that the collaborations will help the company achieve its growth targets as it prepares to push ahead with new product launches over the coming months

He said: “Nextpeer is an influential player in its field with a network of 10 million monthly users. The partnership will enable designers to build a facility into skills-based games that gives players the option to compete against friends for limited amounts of money.

“It will introduce Small-bet to a much wider market by enabling those at the forefront of independent games development to integrate our application at the design stage.”

Nextpeer CEO, Shai Magizmof, said the Small-bet product would sit well alongside the network’s own token-based competition platform. “Small-bet has developed a unique concept that enables friends to compete against one another in skills-based games for money.

“By teaming up with them we are offering our developers an exciting new tool and giving players the option of competing for points or upping the stakes with real money.”

Neil Spence said the link with Innocent Devils would see his app integrated into the developer’s popular Travel Guru game. “This partnership will bring Small-bet into everyday use for the first time by introducing the product direct to gamers.”

He also reports that Small-bet is preparing to launch its technology into French and US markets and is currently in talks with other strategic partners. “Our intention is to work with games studios and mobile device companies to integrate Small-bet into an ever increasing range of products and we hope to be in a position to announce further collaborations in the autumn.”
