Refurbishment underway at Liverpool industrial estate

Regeneration specialists the Langtree Group is starting work on a £1m refurbishment project at Speke Hall Industrial Estate and Sky Park International in south Liverpool.

The refurbishment includes improvements to the security, landscaping and construction of the buildings. It forms part of the overall strategy for the estates to provide high-quality business space for SMEs in the city and surrounding areas.

Langtree acquired the properties in December 2012. The largest singled-owned industrial estate in Liverpool, it consists of 87 units of between 500 and 30,000 sq ft.

Richard Ainscough of Langtree said: “We take great pride in the quality and specification of the space that we have to offer, this investment ensures that the estates in Speke meet our high standards and provide the businesses of Liverpool the premises in which to flourish.”

Mark Appleton, Construction Director of Contract Services (R&R) Ltd, the appointed refurbishment contractor said: “We have worked very closely with the team at Langtree to produce a scheme that gives both quality and value. This is an exciting opportunity and we are looking forward to the challenge”

The work is due to be completed by February 2014.

Langtree operates a diverse portfolio of directly owned and joint venture property totaling more than 4 million sq ft comprising office parks, industrial estates and trade parks across the North and Midlands of England.
