Citation snaps up Bibby CAS

Cheshire-based health and safety and employment law adviser Citation has bought Bibby Consulting and Support (CAS). Bibby CAS, which has 2,000 clients, has been part of Liverpool-based Bibby Line Group since 2009. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed. Both firms assist employers and senior managers to achieve and maintain compliance in employment law, health and safety and environmental legislation. David Robertson, Chairman of Bibby Consulting & Support Ltd, said: “This acquisition represents an excellent opportunity for Bibby Consulting and Support, its clients and its employees.

“The two businesses have a compelling strategic fit, supported by a common culture of excellence in client service and commitment to people. We’re confident that the combined scale and proposition will drive continued growth and development to the benefit of clients.” Citation is based in Wilmslow. Chief executive, Chris Morris, said: “Citation has ambitious plans and we have grown our business significantly in recent years thanks to the hard work of the management team, our employees and the support of our clients. “We are delighted to have acquired Bibby Consulting and Support and are committed to working hard to ensure that all our clients - old and new - enjoy the excellent level of service, professionalism and commitment upon which we have built our reputation. This is another significant step in delivering our ambitious growth strategy.” PwC’s Manchester corporate finance and due diligence teams advised Citation on the acquisition.
