Damart brings a buzz to The Bees
Bingley-based home shopping brand and thermal expert, Damart, has announced a new sponsorship with Bradford & Bingley Rugby Club, better known as ‘The Bees’ RFC team.
The company will continue to be one of the side’s main sponsors after backing it for more than ten years. The new deal will see Damart’s logo featuring prominently on all teams’ red, black and yellow shirts for the 2013/2014 season.
Damart’s marketing and e-commerce director, Phil Anderson, said: “With more than 800 staff in Bingley and Steeton, we are keen to support the local community in which we all work and live. We’re particularly impressed with The Bees’ commitment to developing young players and are delighted to be helping support the club through this sponsorship agreement.”
As well as team shirts, the high visibility sponsorship will put Damart branding on the programmes and advertising boards around the pitch, raising profile and maintaining the company’s positive image. It also sponsors local Steeton Football Club.
The online mail order catalogue retailer sells thermal clothing and underwear as well as a range of quality fashion and footwear items for ladies and men. With an active customer base of ten million, it celebrates its 60th anniversary this year.
The Bees’ director of rugby, Henry Paul said: “Our teams attract hundreds of rugby fans to the club each week and Damart’s sponsorship will be invaluable in supporting the work we do with the teams from juniors to the first team.”
The Bees’ first team currently plays in the RFU National Three North competition.
