Property boom continues for Manchester management firm
The Manchester-based residential property management firm urbanbubble has secured contracts to run more than 1,000 residential units across the north west.
The deals secure its new business targets for the year well ahead of schedule.
Having won the management of Artisan’s Residential portfolio of 415 apartments, the firm has followed this up with 385 units at Advent 1, 2 and 3 in Manchester, 268 units at Muse Developments’ Smithfield Estate, and a further 80 under construction at the same site, and a total of 117 apartments at Pulse in Old Trafford.
In addition, urbanbubble has secured contracts with tenants groups in blocks in Manchester and Preston covering 381 properties, and is making two significant ‘Right To Manage’ applications in the region.
The firm was launched in 2008 by Michael Howard, who took control of the management of 70 apartments at Ducie Wharf in Piccadilly where he was living, operating the business by himself from his spare bedroom. It now manages more than 3,000 apartments across the north west.
Mr Howard said: “2012 has been a highly successful year for urbanubble with a number of contract wins and award nominations. By March 2013 we will add another 350 units to our remit and we are in the process of tendering for a further 600 within and around the north west.
“It takes time to build a reputation for excellence and I feel this was accomplished earlier in the year. Since then, we’re seeing real signs that our reputation and residents’ experience of our service is getting out there and new business is flowing in. It is our ability to deliver the quality of service that we do, whilst achieving good growth levels that ensures our success “
