County Durham beauty products manufacturer invests £700k
SONE Products Ltd has invested £700k into its County Durham facility to grow its manufacturing capabilities.
The firm manufactures the main components for products such as mascaras, eyeliners and lip-gloss packs for the cosmetics industry and have invested in injection blow moulding.
SONE has purchased two Novapax NSB 650/110 IBM machines, along with moulds, infrastructure changes and invested in an experienced specialist process engineer.
Manufacturing manager, David Clemes said: “Introducing IBM complements our existing EBM capabilities, greatly enhancing what we can offer our growing client base. With both EBM and IBM we can provide more flexibility and satisfy differing demands of our existing and new clients.
“Further to the purchase of the equipment, a major part of the investment and of equal importance will be in the implementation of a complete training package to bring existing technicians fully up to speed with the technology and new machines. This accords customers the peace of mind they have come to expect when working with SONE, that only fully trained staff will work on their behalf to produce products of the highest quality.”
