New sponsor's kit for optimistic Castle Eden cricketers

Tilly Bailey & Irvine Solicitors is backing some of the region’s young cricketers as they get ready to go on tour.

Tilly Bailey & Irvine Solicitors has, once again, supported Castle Eden Cricket Club. The sponsorship will help fund the players’ kit for their tour of Lancashire which begins on Saturday 24th August, 2013. The team which the club is taking on tour will combine players from its U14s, U15s, U16s and U17s.

Neil Taylor, partner with Tilly Bailey & Irvine Solicitors, commented: “We’ve been supporting Castle Eden Cricket Club for a number of years now, and are delighted to be able to do so again this year. The club is particularly good at introducing youngsters to cricket, which has been reflected in their league successes this year. They have the young people involved in the club all year round, including practising their cricket in the indoor nets throughout the winter.”

Club Secretary, Leo Taylor, said: “The backing of Tilly Bailey & Irvine Solicitors is vital to the club, helping us to keep access affordable for the youngsters who come and play here. It not only helps with kit for the tour, but also the playing equipment we need, and is appreciated by everyone at the club.

“We are hoping for a great tour. With fantastic league successes this year, we’re optimistic that the players’ winning streaks will continue across in Lancashire.”

Castle Eden’s U11s, U13s and U15s all won their respective League Cups in the 2013 season. Also this year, Club Secretary, Leo Taylor, was awarded the British Empire Medal for services to the community.
